Position Summary Provides clinical expertise, insight and support to clinical end-users, sales and sales management, marketing and other corporate departments to sustain and acquire business while maintaining and developing customer loyalty. The incumbent will support the appropriate clinical application of Teleflex Medical products via instruction, education, and understanding of these products and best practices, identify product attributes necessary to expand into new markets or capitalize on new clinical applications, and identify new, clinically driven product and market opportunities. Principal Responsibilities Identify and support field sales efforts through clinical and educational customer needs assessment, product and procedural training, in-servicing, and required customer follow up (i.e., letters, approved product information, samples, educational materials, professional guidelines and standards related to best practices, and clinical/evidence-based research articles). Maintain and develop expertise on Teleflex Medical’s Respiratory products, with particular emphasis on the product portfolio related to specific clinical specialty area and expertise. Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation related to best practices and the appropriate use of Teleflex products, and timely professional follow-up. Work in conjunction with sales representatives and sales management to properly identify, prioritize targets, and achieve corporate, regional, and territory goals and objectives Provide written and verbal communication to sales management and sales representatives regarding field activity and account information. Participate as a clinical team representative on project teams, committees and in meetings with various corporate departments to provide input as to the clinical perspectives on products and issues Participate in educational, scientific, and promotional activities at identified local, regional, and national tradeshows/exhibitions. Keep current with medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, competitive landscape, and industry trends and communicate with sales management, marketing and other appropriate corporate departments. Maintain professional and clinical continuing education, licensure, and credentials as applicable to clinical specialty. Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job related activities; to include strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms. Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Education / Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the clinical specialty area. Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in hospital setting. RRT Credential Specialized Skills / Other Requirements Proven ability to find, analyze and assess clinical studies and appropriately apply them in the support of Teleflex Medical products. Understanding of salesforce organizational dynamics, sales tools, sales activities and related sales problems. Demonstrated professional presentation skills for use in presenting products and clinical practice standards in customer meetings and educational programs at the hospital level. Ability to quickly learn a full product portfolio and clinical applications and uses of products and understand the competive landscape. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Physical demands: Ability to carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs, lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs, and stand/walk in numerous hospitals 6 – 10 hours per day, up to 5 days per week.
